About Senior Living Pricing

The Cost of Staying at Home vs. Senior Living
Deciding to move into a senior living community is a significant choice, and it’s only natural to consider whether staying at home might be more cost-effective. However, when you factor in expenses like rent or mortgage, homeowner’s insurance and taxes, utilities, transportation, groceries, and other household costs, staying at home might actually be more expensive than expected.

Ways to Pay for Senior Living
There are several options available to assist in paying for senior living. First, it is important to see what you or your loved one may qualify for. Some common options include:
- Government Programs – Veterans’ Benefits and Social Security
- Insurance Coverage – Life, Long Term Care, and other Health Insurance
- Private Assistance – Non-Profits and Foundations
- Personal Property – Family resources, private loans and home equity
